IMERYS Implements Energy Surcharge on
Georgia Kaolins for the Paper Industry

October 31st 2005

In addition to the 17 August 2005 price increase announcement on kaolin for paper, IMERYS will implement an energy surcharge or further adjust prices for paper grade Georgia kaolins to reflect the very recent, unprecedented escalation in energy costs.
These energy-related charges are effective immediately or as customer contracts allow. 

IMERYS Pigments for Paper is a world leading producer of white pigments, manufacturing kaolin, ground calcium carbonate (GCC) and precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC). The business group serves the needs of the international paper industry and employs 3050 people, operates 44 industrial sites in 19 countries and represents 26% of Imerys’ overall revenue.
