Product Description

Opti-Cal™ 400 is a coating PCC manufactured under carefully controlled conditions. This manufacturing process produces a fine, high brightness coating pigment with a narrow particle size distribution.

Application

Opti-Cal™ 400 is designed to be used as the primary coating carbonate in high gloss coated paper and board applications. It delivers excellent brightness, opacity, sheet gloss and print gloss for coated papers. The improved optical properties can be used by the papermaker to eliminate more expensive pigments like titanium dioxide or plastic pigment.
