Imerys Rio Capim Caulim (IRCC) gains ISO Accreditation
We are pleased to announce that Imerys Rio Capim Caulim (IRCC) received ISO 14001:2004 Certification during March 2010, an international reward that recognises the excellence of RCC´s environmental practices, demonstrating commitment to the sustainability of it's business.
To achieve this, Imerys RCC evidenced that the Company developed strict practices and international standards, fulfilling all environmental laws. The audit made a diagnosis on the environmental impacts of IRCC´s activities and observed procedures and plans to minimise any impact that the Company may cause and attested that IRCC has trained and qualified employees.
Environmental concern is part of IRCC´s routine. ISO 14001 recognised the Company´s good practices and reinforced its undertaking to respect the environmental laws and to carry out international standards on sustainability.
Additionally, IRCC renewed the ISO 9001:2008 accreditation for Quality for a further 3 years following a successful audit. This Certificate was originally granted in 1998 and continuously maintained ever since.
