ECO-TOWN UK
IMERYS' Clay Country Eco-town, aims to create an eco-community which positively utilises the IMERYS restructuring and land restoration proposals. This UK project encourages inward investment opportunities,
maximising social and economic growth and environmental management, facilitating a prosperous and sustainable future for the Mid Cornwall clay communities.
The Eco-town proposals will utilise over 700 ha of former industrial land at 6 key locations within the clay country of south-west England, for new housing (including affordable housing). Employment, leisure, community, new transport and infrastructure facilities will all be developed, within walking distance of existing local settlements.

restructuring to promote the mid Cornwall china clay area as a national centre of innovation in sustainable
living, working, education, tourism and recreation for the St Austell and china clay communities. Combined with our mining activities, we want to deliver new and permanent jobs of value in our region.”
