Children & Art Project - brazil
Art helps build self esteem as children take pride in the works of art they create.
This IMERYS Rio Capim Caulim initiative provides learning opportunities through educational and artistic activities. 'Projeto criança e arte' involves more than 180 children and 15 volunteer educators from the Vila do Conde community in Barcarena. Introducing a child to art can play a pivotal role in their development. Art can
help develop a child's creativity, imagination, cognitive skills, problem-solving abilities, fine motor skills, and
much more.
The children that have participated in this project have already shown improved performance in school and
improvements in their family relationships. The project is coordinated by the NGO, Minor’s Pastoral Commission.
