Imerys’ worldwide infrastructure and logistics for a broad line of kaolins, PCC, and GCC is unmatched in the industry. Already in a leadership position in 1996, Imerys invested in kaolin and carbonate operations, removing significant cost from our business, and refocusing on customers.  The result has been a step change in service and lower delivered cost.

In addition, creative approaches to delivery have produced multi-million benefits for a variety of customers.  A shift from land transport to ships from the Georgia coast to the Pacific Northwest has dramatically reduced costs.  A novel arrangement with several paper producers to in Europe to coordinate mineral and paper shipments on the same transport vehicles has rationalized costs for all parties.
